Skills with a price. Not just job titles.
Most labor-market tools describe work by its title. Alex also prices the skills underneath it, using federal ratings of 35 skills across 738 occupations matched to federal wage data for metro areas nationwide.

Career moves labeled by their evidence
Alex says when a suggested move rests on shared skills rather than on people observed making it, and never reduces a person to a fit percentage.
The pay ceiling test
Many people are not short on skills. They have hit the top of their job's local pay range, and a neighboring occupation pays for what they already do.
An AI coach that knows its place
The coach explains the evidence and points to the right tool. It is instructed not to produce statistics of its own, and conversations are never used to train a model.
Checked, not assumed
Headline figures are re-checked against their source data on a schedule; on Oct. 12, 2026, all 34 matched within tolerance. Each figure cited in Invest Hamilton County’s research also carries a confidence score that weighs the authority of its source, how it was derived, the size of the sample behind it and whether a second source agrees. A figure that drifts is flagged, not quietly updated.
